The Rose No. 2

I've been thinking quite a lot recently. Everything I see have a unique aura of its own. It's like a light shining in the dark. This is one of my designs on the palm. The design is a little rough because it's on the left. I usually need the help of my left hand to apply the henna. Anyway, here it is for your comments/ feedbacks if any.

The National Wedding Show 2010 in London was held from 19 - 21 February 2010. Tourism Malaysia provided free henna/mehendi skin art to those who have visited the booth on both Saturday and Sunday. AND my job is to draw the henna designs. Below are some of the photos taken during the Saturday (20 Feb 2010) sessions. If you have any of your photos taken on that day, kindly proceed to the photo gallery to view your photos. Thanks a million to those who drop by the TM booth. More photos will be updated later in the gallery. Stay tuned!

The Rose No. 1

I did a little experimenting yesterday night.
The main focus of this design is the rose which is in the middle with crepes running to the end of the pinky finger. A ring was added to the index finger as a finnishing so that it doesn't look too empty.

If you have any comments on the design, please feel free to do so.
Thank you.

Toyi's henna

Toyi came to visit yesterday.
Did two different designs for both hands.
A floral bracelet for her left and a strip design for her right.

Will be posting more photos in the photo gallery later. Stay tune.

Greetings

Dear all readers,

Greetings.

This blog was set up to nurture my increasing love for henna body art. I'm so excited about it which is why I am currently starting a blog to share my passion for mehendi/henna.

Another reason why I love henna? Because I fancy many different designs and I can’t make up my mind which one to choose from. With henna, I get to choose a different design each week!

Furthermore, it is definitely not as painful as their cousin method, the tattoo.

I believe everyone, young or old should have the opportunity to experience and benefit from this fascinating body art mehendi/henna which was previously reserved mainly for religious events, celebrations and major life events of many different cultures especially in the middle eastern, African and selected Asian countries. There is no reason why an 80 years old or a 5 years old should not to be given an opportunity to enjoy this fun and harmless little treat which is the main motive of Sapphire Designz to provide ‘Skin art for all’.

Add a little flavour to the girls' night out, your little girl's 10 years old birthday party or maybe for a special pre-dinner engagement. Whatever it is, adding this little treat into the agenda will definitely add spice to make it a truly exotic and unique experience. We are commited to make your little special event really special. Therefore, I would like to share my love for mehendi/henna and the work of art with everyone here and of course, I love to see all the happy smiles on faces of those who have benefited from my henna designs.

All my henna designs are entirely hand drawn.
  • Arabic designs
  • Contemporary designs
  • Hindi designs
  • Chinese designs
  • Body art – bracelet, anklets, arm bands, back etc
  • Designs as per requested
Generally, I would prefer motifs of plants/flowers. However, if you have any particular designs in your mind, please do inform me beforehand and I’m sure we can work something out just fine at a reasonable price.

Last but not least, do not hesitate to email or drop me a note in the message box if you require additional information, a quote or to make an appointment.

Thanks for dropping by Sapphire Designz!

P/S : Please feel free to visit the photo gallery for more henna designs. More photos to be uploaded later. I need some time to do so.

Cheers.
