Indian Bridal Mehndi

Henna is also known as mehndi in some Asian countries, especially India, Pakistan, Libya and neighbouring countries. I've always loved the indian bridal designs but well, practise makes perfect. Here's a sample design which I've worked on last week. One more to be added into this year's collection.

Bridal Henna Collection 2010 (Part 3)

This bridal henna design is designed for those who loves intricate patterns with curvy veins and leaves running by the side of the feet. This suggest an impression of wearing shoes with intricate patterns. The main patterns in this design is repeated flower filler with a swirly core that fills up the front part of the feet. You will be able to see the flowery fillers if you look at it more closely.

Bridal Henna Collection 2010 (Part 2)

Another bridal henna design to be added to the collection. This design tend to incorporate a tribal feeling with the bold and distinct patterned design at the wrist adding a slight floral touch to complete the design. The wrist design is a particular favourite of mine, reminding me of large bold bangles that I used to love so much.

Bridal Henna Collection 2010 (Part 1)

The highlight of this design is the morning glory and striped triangular patterns running across the back of the hand. This design focuses on the floral patterns and geometric shapes, making up the main divisional section of the design covering the whole back of the hand.
