Home made henna paste

Many opt for commercial henna paste which can be purchased at a relatively low price and best of all, less work and of course more time to relax.

Making your own henna paste is definitely very time consuming, but if you get it right, the end result is definitely rewarding. A beautiful dark red-brown/ brown stain, a lovely colour. Nevertheless, you know that all the ingredients used and it's definitely safe to use.

The pictures below shows the stain by using home made henna paste. It's a lovely shade of brown and of course, you will have to leave it on your skin a little longer for the stain to be of a darker shade. You also have to get the paste proportion correctly and make sure that it is not too oily or else drawing will be an unpleasant experience. However, the stains is a lot darker if you leave the paste on for a longer period.

Apart from that, also remember to apply homemade solution of lemon and sugar onto the paste for darker stains.

Please note that in the picture below, the paste was left on the skin for about an hour and no homemade solution was applied. This is how it looks like, pale light brown.
